Pork Bone Soup

Really delicious, body and soul warming pork bone soup

  • 500 gr pork bone I used ribs, so I had some meat on the bones too
  • 1 celery knob
  • 5 carrots
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 kohlrabi
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt pepper, cumin, red paprika
  • water


  1. For preparation, peel the carrots, the onion, the celery know, the garlic and the kohlrabi.
  2. Dice the onion, crush the garlic, chop the carrots, the celery and the kohlrabi.
  3. Sauté the onion and the garlic.
  4. Add the bay leaves, and the spices.
  5. Quickly add the bones and the veggies.
  6. Pour water onto them and cook it on low heat for 2-3 hours or on middle heat for 1 hour.
  7. We usually drain it, then cook some vermicelli or spiral pasta into it.
