The Hungarian pancake is somewhere between the American and the French ones. This is how I make cinnamon apple pancake!
With a few ingredients you can make a really delicious dessert/breakfast/dinner/lunch. In Hungary, we make the pancakes thin, brush it with jam or something else and roll it up. My grandmother usually add some apple to the pancake batter, it make the pancake more moisturous and flavorful.
- 4 cup flour (it can be more or less, depends on the quality of the flour)
- 1.5 l water (I used mineral water)
- 2 eggs
- 3-4 apple
- 1 pkg baking soda
- 1 pkg vanilla sugar
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- little sugar or honey if needed
Add the ingredients (except the apple) to a bowl and mix them, you should get a rather liquid pancake batter. Peel the apple and grate them. Add to the batter and mix them.
Use a teflon griddle to bake them.
When you ready with them, brush them with whatever you like, roll them up and enjoy the delicious cinnamon apple pancake. You can make it for breakfast, we usually make it for lunch, main dish, sometime for dinner. Try out and share your version!
