Allergy test

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday I went for the allergy testing, finally! Here is my Allergy test result!

Last time I was on allergy testing I was about 4-5 years old, but the test was negative back then.

This time I was afraid of the test being negative.  You probably think now I’m completely crazy, why would anyone wants to be allergy?! To tell the truth I don’t want to be allergy, but if the test is positive, at least I know what’s my problem and I can do something against it….

So I went yesterday, the testing placed at the sanatorium just a little  away from the city. It’s full of trees, really nice and quiet, but still creepy a little, too quiet, you know..bird chirping was the only thing I heard. Since it was the first (and hopefully last) time I was there, it took me 15 minutes to find the right building…I didn’t know it was that big, it’s like a little town!

And now the unpleasant part: I’ve been tested on my forearm, they marked my skin on 17 spots, dropped a little  purified allergen extracts beside the marked spots and the nurse punctured my skin inside every drops with a needle. It’s not a painful thing but nothing I want to repeat everyday…After 20 minutes waiting, the result was ready and conspicuous.

I had 3 really red and swollen spot and 2 slightly less red and swollen ones. When the nurse saw my hand the first thing she said that from now on I won’t be the one who cleans the house…I looked at her puzzled..she pointed to my forearm.

So the result was that I’m allergy to house dust, mold, feathers and dogs, I don’t even have a dog….I just sat there dumbfounded…then the first thing came to my mind that I’m the one who do the housework, how the hell will I do this while I want to feel better?! I calmed down a second later, but still how can I be allergy to dogs when I never really contact with any dogs? They told me that’s not really matters, I still can be allergy to them. The spots on my forearm still visible, but they’re not swollen anymore!

So now I have to take a pill everyday and I’ll be fine, at least they told me so…I can’t wait to see the difference, I really had enough of nose running and sneezing. At least I know now what cause this and I can do against it! So, all in all it was a successful day with a successful test, even if it sounds strange…

How is your week so far? Are you allergy to something, anything?

– Love, Anna
